IPad Coming to Verizon Wireless | Verizon Wireless

IPad Coming to Verizon Wireless | Verizon Wireless
The announcement is the latest sign that the relationship among Apple and Verizon is warming up. Verizon is expected to start advertising Apple’s iPhone early up coming year.

Verizon will not be advertising 3G variants of the iPad, which function more than a cell data network. rather it will sell bundles that consist of the iPad’s WiFi versions and its personal MiFi cellular hotspot device, which basically allows users to connect to the internet in any spot that has 3G service. The bundles will price $630 for any 16-gigabyte model, $730 for any 32-gigabyte model and $830 for any 64 gigabytes. Verizon will provide a monthly $20 entry strategy to apple ipad customers for up to 1 gigabyte of data. In addition, Verizon will provide all three apple ipad versions over a standalone basis.

“We’re thrilled to be functioning with Verizon Wireless to get apple ipad into the arms of even much more customers this holiday season,” Tim Cook, Apple’s chief working officer, stated in a press release.

John Stratton, chief working officer for Verizon Wireless, said: “iPad together using the nation’s largest and most reliable 3G data system allows customers to easily connect on the go wherever they are.”
